TRAVEL ITINERARY

09 Days – 08 Nights of Bhutan Tour.

Day 1:  Arrival in Paro

Our Representative from Eve Bhutan Tours & Treks will receive you at the airport and have lunch and head to HAA VALLEY for day excursion and drive you back to Paro to the Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Paro.


Day 2:  Paro to Thimphu

After breakfast, visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) and Kyichu Lhakhang. After lunch drive to Thimphu (Capital of Bhutan). Thimphu is the political, social and spiritual heart of the nation and although this is Bhutan’s most modern city, it has retained the unique character of a Bhutanese town Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Thimphu.


Day 3:  Thimphu to Punakha

After breakfast, drive to Punakha. On the way to Punakha, halt in Dochu-La Pass (3140 m) for photography. Visit Royal Botanical Park at LamPelri. Upon reaching Lobesa, visit Chimi Lhakhang – dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kuenley also known as “Divine Madman”. We halt in Lobesa town for Lunch.

After lunch, visit to Punakha Dzong – Built in 1637, by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to serve as the religious and administrative center of the region. Dinner and overnight halt at a hotel in Punakha.


Day 4:  Punakha-Phobjikha -Punakha

Afrer breakfast drive towards Phobjikha. The Gangtey Goemba a very significant site related to Saint Pema Lingpa, the reincarnation of Guru Rinpoche who introduced Buddhism in the country and uncovered its treasures. This monastery is located at the top of a hill and provides a magnificent view of the entire Phobjikha Valley.Few other attractions to sight see and return back to Punakha, overnight in Hotel.


Day 05:Punakha-Thimphu

After breakfast drive back to Thimphu, visit National Memorial Chorten, Kuensel Phodrang, where the largest statue of Sitting Buddha is located. Tashichho Dzong (the administrative headquarters of Bhutan)


Day 06:Thimphu Sightseeing

After breakfast,visit Takin Preservation center in Motithang and Changangkha Lhakhang,folk heritage, Dechenchholing/white tara and Handicrafts Emporium for local products shopping. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Thimphu.


Day 7:  Thimphu to Paro

After breakfast, visit local shopping complex in chubachu, drive to Paro. On the way, visit Simtokha dong- Walk around Paro town and explore some local products.. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel in Paro.

Day 08:Paro-Taktshang

After breakfast drive to Tiger’s Nest Monastery, officially Taktshang Pelphung Monastery is regarded as one of the most venerated and famous of Bhutan’s monasteries. It is located on the face of a sheer 800m cliff above the floor of Paro Valley. Today, we embark on a scenic hike to view this spectacular and unfishable sight. The monastery is only accessible by foot (you can ride a pony part of the way, but this must be arranged in advance by your guide). Once inside the Monastery, there are temples to see and the monks that reside. After exploring the monastery we retrace our steps and return to Paro. Dinner and
overnight stay in the hotel


Day 9: After breakfast drive to Paro airport for your onward flight.
